What is Gi Masters?
Gi Masters is an American based company dedicated to making the finest martial arts uniforms in the world. We accomplish this is by making each uniform customized to your needs-customized embroidery, customized sizing, customized color, and always quality. When you buy a Gi Masters' uniform, you're not just buying another uniform, you're buying an image of refinement in the martial arts.
Who are the Gi Masters?
Sensei Greg Shanks began his study of the martial arts in 1981, under Sensei Reggie Jackson. In 1985, he received his black belt, and has continued his study all the way to 9th degree black. In 2007 was inducted into the UMAA Hall of Fame, 2008 inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Sensei Michael Crump is Sensei Greg Shanks' step-son and highest ranking student holding a 6th degree black belt. Sensei Crump also holds an 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo. In 2007 was inducted into the UMAA Hall of Fame, 2008 inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Sensei Shanks and Crump were displeased with the quality of martial arts uniforms on the market. So, they set out to design a martial arts uniform that was comfortable, durable, and inexpensive. Rita Shanks, an excellent seamstress and entrepreneur provided the finance to make Sensei Shanks' and Crump's vison a reality. Together they are the GI Masters.
